Headlight Restoration Process

If you see your headlights are beginning to look yellow or cloudy give us a call, text or email!

We will make you an appointment to get the service performed at your home or work location. The service takes roughly an hour to complete if you’re looking to get a pair done!

We will:

1. Clean off the dirt and grime on your headlights to ensure a clean surface to work on

2. If your headlights are very contaminated we will give them a light clay bar exfoliation before sanding.

   No headlights are the same so our sanding process will vary based on severity of your yellowness.

3. We will sand down the old ,yellow top layer of oxidation starting with a coarse sanding disk. This helps get most of that yellowing off.

4. Once the top layer of oxidation is removed we will begin switching up to finer grades of sandpaper. This makes the sanding lines finer and finer so the compound and polish can buff out the scratches.

5. After compounding and polishing your headlights to clarity, we will wipe them down with an isopropyl alcohol mix and inspect to ensure there is no leftover polish on the lights and make sure they look great.

6. Once cleared, rather than using a cheap wax or sealant we will ceramic coat your headlights.

7. Once the ceramic coating has cured, it will form a microscopic layer of glass like protection on top that can take the sun’s uv rays much better and will give you anywhere from 1-2 years of clarity and protection against the elements!

Please keep in mind that this service is to restore the exterior look of the headlights. If you have a crack and water is getting into the headlights after rain, washing or condensation. That is a different issue we can’t resolve as that requires removing the headlight, disassembling it, etc. =(

Booking and Pricing

Headlight restoration starts at $100 for a pair of headlights and must be added on to an additional service such as a Mini Detail if the job is requested mobile to san diego or fallbrook area.

Any additional lights added on will be an extra $15-$20 per.

This service takes about an hour to complete. This will bring some years back to the look of your vehicle, help you see better at night and is a great add on service!
